Prerequisites: a good understanding of English.
Target Groups 1 to 8 :
The training program is aimed at the personnel who are not directly involved in the maintenance and inspection of EWIS, identified as (i.a.w. AMC 20-22): Target group 1 and 2
Target group4 – Personnel Performing General Maintenance/Inspections Not Involving Wire Maintenance
Target group 5 – Personnel Performing Other Engineering or Planning Work on In-Service Aircraft
Target group 6 – Other Service Staff with Duties in Proximity to Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems
Target group 7 – Flight Deck Crew
Target group 8 – Cabin Crew
Training Language: English
Duration: 3 to 7 hours depending on target group
Course Outline – EWIS training
Aviation Accident Investigators have specifically cited the need for improved training of personnel to ensure adequate recognition and repair of potentially unsafe aircraft wiring conditions. This Online training will greatly enhance the awareness with regard to the importance of EWIS safety as concerns the overall safe operation of aeroplanes.

Final Test: MCQ
Certification: The trainee receives his/her certificate as soon as he/she has successfully passed the final test.
Validity: Once the EWIS training is completed, refresher training must be conducted every three years.

Annex II to Decision ED 2021/007/R: Initial Training Requirements for EWIS Technicians
Please note the following:
EWIS group 1 to 5 initial training is mandatory for technicians wishing to work on Electronic Warfare Installation and Wiring (EWIS) on aircraft registered in the European Union.
The training must be provided by an organisation approved by the DGAC or by an equivalent organisation in another EU Member State.
At the end of the training, participants receive a training certificate which allows them to work on EWIS.
By taking an EWIS training course, you can acquire the skills needed to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft EWIS systems.
